*OFw PSP-GO 6.39 (for PSP Go - N-Series).

Installation Instructions:

Note: This software is free, and comes with no warranty, it has been tested and it has work, however I am not responsible for any bricked, so please try this at your own risk!.

Required: PSP-300x, PSP-200x, +TA-088v3 or PSP GO (1g, 2g, 3g, 4g, 5g, 7g, 9g) has Sony Firmware ‘6.39’ installed. other firmware is not supported. If you don’t have PSP 6.39 installed, you need to update its.

PSP Update 6.39 installation :
If your PSP already on OFw 6.39, skip this step. Make sure psp has running under OFw, check psp version!! (DON'T update if psp under CFw!, If not, do the Restore Default Settings, and release the battery for a moment).

Make sure psp has full battery or at least 75% and keep the AC cord connected during an update, to avoid any possible bricks.

Copy ‘EBOOT.PBP’ of OFw PSP 6.39 to ‘ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/’ (You can make a new folder called UPDATE in all uppercase letters - CAPS). Then run the ‘6.39 firmware update’ from Game menu. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

Install CFw 6.39PRO-B:
Copy ‘PROUPDATE’ and ‘FastRecovery’ folder to ‘ef0: - ms0:/PSP/GAME/’ on your PSP, Then Run ‘6.39PRO-B Updater’ to install the Aftermarket Modules, delete it afterwards, you won't need it again unless you wish to uninstall PRO CFw again.

However, in the future you will have to boot it manually every time you shutdown and restart your PSP by executing the FastRecovery application.

  19. You haven't tried to speed the game up...

1.ITS a CSO of course its slow since its compressed...
2.You did not change the speed to 333Mhz...
3.YOUR ISO cache is probably on default(not on max settings).
4.YOU could also try to decompress CSO to ISO...

  24. I, like the anonymous before, have a problem with the audio. I have a 2001 and I'm using this CFW 9.39 PRO-B8. It only seems to be the background audio that cuts out and occasionally voices. The sounds that play from moving a cursor on a menu and such are still there, even when the background music is gone. After going to a new screen, sometimes it will come back, but not always. This is a huge problem when trying to play a rhythm game like Hatsune Miku Project Diva. I tried re-downloading the ISOs for all of the games I had and also redownloading the CFw itself, but the problem is still happening with all the games I try to play. Other than that, though, the games play fine.

Any ideas on what could be wrong? Or is this just a bug in the CFw?

    ReplyDelete
  25. @VIRU5: yes, I think this is a bug in the pro-CFW, I searched a little of this issue and came back with nothing.

then i tried to change ISO driver Inferno and NP9660, this only resolve the issue shortly.. however, this does not occur in LCFw6.39ME-9.1 [my tested].

Thanks VIRU5 and all for sharing this issue. :)

  26. Ok, I see a lot of problems concerning ISO files and whatnot. I have been having a similar problem.

Exactly where do you place the ISO folder? I have a CSO file of Armored Core: Last Raven and I am really pissed that I have not been able to play it. I have PSP 2000 Slim 6.20 Pro-B9.

It's sexy CFW, I love it. But I can't get ISO/CSO files to work because no one has clarified where you put them. I know it's ms0: Or something like that, but that is not a folder name that exists in the PSP. Is ms0: a nickname for something else? Can I just place the CSO in a GAME or something? I need a clear response.

    ReplyDelete
  27. ms0 is your psp memory stick drive, iso game must be placed in to iso folder ms0:/ISO/.. This diagram may help you.. :)

  31. I cannot run any .iso games. I've put games to ms://ISO/ and psp doesn't recognize any of them. Also CFW seems to be installed correctly. What could be the problem then?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Check the version of your psp!? if CFW installed correctly, you should see your psp version e.g. 6.39PRO-B9. otherwise, if not its only 6.39.

    ReplyDelete
  33. okay, so i have 6.39PRO-B Pro NIGHTLY and i have the Pro Update + Fast Recovery. i switched from OFW 6.39 to CFW 6.39 to CFW 6.39 PRO-B (aka - PRO NIGHTLY) i downloaded a cso file game and i used PSP ISO Compresser v1.4 to convert it into an uncompressed iso format. it worked and everything fine. so i have phantasy star portable 2 . iso and i simply made a ms://ISO/ and it does recognize them, but as a curropted file. in my PRO VSH MENU i can switch between inferno, sony NP9660, and M33 driver(i am currently on) for the UMD ISO Mode. i can also switch between UMD Disc, Memory Stick (i am currently on), and Flash 0-3. what is the recommended one? will this change anything? Why is my ISO coming out as corrupted?

    ReplyDelete
  34. oh i have a psp 3001 series (add to comment above)

    ReplyDelete
  35. hmmm, it seems CFW already installed and running .. I suspect the game is corrupt, have you tried to play on another CFW/PSP? I'll try it too, start downloading... :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. @Hank: Hi, Corrupted Data bisa terjadi krn beberapa hal an;

    1. Game iso rusak, nama file terlalu panjang, meng-copy di folder yg salah.

    contoh ms0:/ISO/gta.iso

    2. Format MS tidak sesuai dgn system PSP.. Coba format ulang MS dengan psp..

    3. MS (memory stick) rusak/cacat.

    Semoga membantu.. :)

  64. Hey Purnomo,

I have upgraded to firmware 6.39 from 6.37 and also updated to 6.39 Pro-b9. I tried running Chinatown wars CSO but it shows up as corrupted file. I used the link shown to decompress from CSO to ISO but whenever I try to unrar it, my antivirus pops up showing trojan and doesnt extract. Can u suggest anything?

    Thanks for ur help

    ReplyDelete
  65. What you mean by trojan? your cso game? or the "psp iso compressor"? there may be a virus on your MS, so its blocked.

or maybe you have the corrupted game.. try installing pro-b10, this works well on 2GB~4GB ISO/CSO game.. :-)

on 6.6 PROB10 to play iso games.
    Mainly M33 or Inferno.
    Cheers

    ReplyDelete
  69. hello i have tried everything i need help with the iso games showing up. the games are in the iso folder and they still dont show up

    ReplyDelete
  70. @Terrafi: To Reset VSH menu to default setting, Simply press Select > Reset VSH.. UMD iso mode depending on the game being played, M33 is used in the game that required fw 5.00 or below. and Inferno for newer fw.. :)

@Anonymous: check your psp fw, it's was 6.60PRO-B?, If everything is correct, try reformat your MS with PSP.. then put your game into ms0:/ISO/game.iso,... :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. @Pornumo: no I am using the 6.39 pro b-9 from the download at the top of this page. I have reset the MS and added the CFW. I have ran the CFW and the iso games dont show up at all. my psp is a 3000 9g

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  74. Hi puromo, i've been reading all your advices.. it's nice to have someone like you walking us through..

anyway, i have a psp3001 which runs on CFW 5.03 gen-c.. i've been thinking about upgrading it to PRO b10.. but im afraid of the bugs pro b10 has since im quite satisfied with 5.03 gen-c except I need to start all over again everytime the battery gets drained..

any thoughts you might wanna share? any reply will be appreciated.. Thanks

much better if we can exchange emails, kenhim69@yahoo.com

    ReplyDelete
  75. @Anonymous: I think you need to uninstall the CFW, there seems to be some patches that do not work,.. by reinstalling can fix it. or you should update to CFW6.60, where it CFW is more stabel than 6.39 for psp 09g...

@Anonymous: I think it would be better PRO-B than GEN-C, It has the compatibility for newest games.. such as GEN-C, PRO-B also be temporary, except 6.20PRO with permanent patch..

About the bugs, the last update of the PRO-B / ME has been better, but this depends on the game being played, so far it fine.. If you have any suggestions, please email me via the contact form... :-)

    ReplyDelete
  76. @purnomo: how can i update the CFW on psp from 6.39 to 6.60? do i have to update the psps original firmware?

I BOUGHT A NEW PSP-3004 & INSTALLED 639PRO-B9 AS PER INSTRUCTIONS LISTED. IT WORKED & I PLAYED GAMES FROM ISO.

SUDDENLY PSP STOPS SHOWING THE GAMES IN MEMORYCARD FROM PSP.I TRIED FORMATING OF CARD BY PSP & COPY THE ISO GAMES IN ISO FOLDER BUT COULDN'T GET ISO GAMES ON THE SCREEN OF PSP.
I TRIED 639PRO-B10ALSO BUT NOTHING WORKED.

    KINDLY SUGGEST ANY REMEDY.

    @SANDEEP

    ReplyDelete
  80. @SANDEEP: The generally if the CFW has been loaded (Check PSP version), the iso game will be detected.. except wrong in the placement, the game itself is corrupt, bad memory or unsupported format (Require FAT32).

If all feels is correct, try reinstalling the CFW by hold L trigger when booting ProUpdate.. or, try use CFW by neu0ner, it seems more stable for psp 09g+... :-)

  87. hi, i had succesfully hacked my psp in pro b5 but had problems with remotejoy lite, so i tried to upgrade to pro b9. After uninstallin pro b5 i ran the pro b9 updater. When i presed x to install it frose and started bootin without xmb. So i hard reset it and tried again. I worked at fist but after shuting down and bootin i noticed that it reloaded back to 6.20 ofw. So i ran the recovery file. It loaded back to cfw. But the second time it did it and i ran the recovery file, when it restarted the green light comes on after the memory stick flashes as normal then the screen's backlight comes on then a black screen for about 20 to 25 secs then shuts off. Hard reset doesnt work. Whats wrong? Brick?

    ReplyDelete
  88. Yes, it seems you have a brick psp. unfortunately this happens in OFW, because you have to uninstall its previous.. Can you boot into recovery? there is nothing we can do without it..

    ReplyDelete
  89. no, cant acsess the recovery menu. but the memory stick indicator flashes. which means it reads the card. cant i run a automatic recovery flasher or somthing. cuz pro 10 atomatically runs plugins on startup. right?

    ReplyDelete
  90. Yes you right, but I do not know for sure whether there are exploits that can run on the brick conditions, or perhaps plugins can access vsh/flash0 can help..

I tried looking on the internet but without success, maybe you can ask at the pro-b as the developer if there is a solution to this, they know better how the system works psp...

    ReplyDelete
  91. ok that sounds like a plan. Ill report back with news on this situation.. Thanks.

    3) which newset cfw can i install and d procedure plz.
    mine is a 09 g model.thnx a lot....

    ReplyDelete
  93. @gaurav prashar: 1. Yes, your CPU speed and Game clock should be set to "default" This standard speed of the PSP. Sometimes we need to lower speed for games that work on cpu speed, eg homebrews games, etc.

    2. All games can be in play, make sure you get the orig ISO backups and not that have been patched.

    3. The latest CFW is 6.60 PRO-B or ME, I recommend that you update to 6.39PRO-B10.. :-)

  95. @gaurav prashar: Thanks again guys!
    1. I usually download from pspiso.com, or torrentz.eu, but keep in mind to compare the file size, and description before download..

    2. There is apps called Bookr the latest is v8, but I do not know what this compatible with pro-b..

    3. Depending on the EBOOT itself, official Eboot can be run on OFW e.g PSN, while CFW can run both. basically, iso psp consists of EBOOT as well, only in the form of archives, I think more freely CFW.

    4. No problem, I also used that way.
Note: You should avoid using too many plugins, which is one cause of semi brick.. :-)

  96. thnx purnomo,thanx a ton
regd the 4 ptf and ctf themes, the ptf themes don't show up or show up as corrupted data wen i'm on cfw and ctf show up as corrupted wen i'm on ofw.wat 2 do?

    ReplyDelete
  97. @gaurav prashar: Of course, ctf does not work on OFW. Under CFW:

Put ctf/ptf file in ms0:/PSP/THEME/, to use ctf, you need to make cxmb.prx is enable and apply the theme, is just like applying a .ptf file. and for ptf is just disable the cxmb.prx.

If ptf file don't show up maybe is not supported, so, you must select the default theme of psp.

and also how can i play contra and mario on psp 3004 i've 6.39 pro b9 rite now....thnx in advance.

    ReplyDelete
  101. @gaurav prashar: Video conversion for windows I use Any Video Converter (Freeware) or Freemake Video Converter... and use MPeg4 with max resolution 480x272px..

If you mean contra/mario of PSX/PS1 games, you need to installing popsloader plugins first... :-)

  105. Try to change UMD ISO Mode into VSH menu to M33, Sony np9660 or Inferno driver.. Press Select to access your vsh menu.. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  106. It still showing game could not be started 80020148..i can only play some game but all 5 games i just add including the gundam cannot be played and still shows the same thing even though i tried all inferno, m33 and np9660..

    ReplyDelete
  107. Check your games file extension that is not working..

For *.iso should work well if the UMD iso drivers has been settings..

But, if the game have *.pbp or if the game inside ms0:/PSP/GAME/ This means the game is PS1/PSX games, and you need to install popsloader plugins to run its in your psp.. :-)

  108. Hi sir, i have problems deleting my games. The file size of the deleted game is still on my memory stick, though it is already deleted. Why is that?? (deleting it on the root folder)

  109. It seem the memory partition is corrupt, and require reformatting.. or if memory was broken..

  110. no mms? no pandora battery? ive been out of the scene for awhile. ill try this on my psp 2k silver and report back

  111. works fine. i have psp slim silver model (daxter edition i think) and i ofw updated to 6.39, then ran pro-b10 and it took like 2 seconds. press x, cfw. boom.

ive yet to run the flasher, the fast recovery works in seconds and easily puts u back to cfw. os this is pretty much like chickHEN, without that god awful eggsploit/picture process. this is really awesome, as pretty much all iso/csos and eboots are running.

good job and thanks to whomever it concerns for this quick and painless cfw.

  113. Hi i have psp 3001 (3g) psp running 6.20 pro-b9 perma-patched and it is running properly, i have managed to get it to play n64 and snes games without too much hassle (it actually plays n64 games better than snes). However when it comes to psx games I have done the run around trying to get them to work without coming out with a single thing to show for it.
I formatted the mem stick under this cfw and have been putting the iso's in the correct folder.
the USB device is set to mem stick and i have tried all 3 UMD ISO modes but nothing ever shows up in the ISO video mount.
I have also tried putting the iso's into an ISO folder in the game folder but it shows up as corrupt data.
these are not corrupt files as they play on ePSXe just fine.
I read that i didn't need a psx emulator with this cfw so i haven't bothered downloading one so i guess that will be my next route
if theres any information you could give that could help me it would be greatly appreciated i cant imagine putting this much time into modifying my psp and not being able to use it to its full potential.
i cant currently think of any more information i could give you to help but if you need to know more ill try to figure it out

    1. Thats i know, psx game should have the extension *.PBP and should copy inside ms0:/PSP/GAME/. You need to install Popsloader plugins to play its in your psp..

If the iso file is a psp game should be run properly, if its not work, try to restore psp to default setting.

UMD ISO modes is PSP UMD disc driver for PSP game not for psx game.. where on cfw lower than 3.40 still required UMD disc inserted to run iso.

Maybe you need to check what plugins are installed on your psp as an exception to run psx games without popsloader.. and take a look at this link about Popsloader.

      Hopefully this help.. :-)
